ดูก่อนเธอผู้เห็นภัยในวัฏสงสารทั้งหลาย เมื่อเธอได้มีการพบปะกันในระหว่างสองรูปแล้ว สิ่งที่เธอควรประพฤติต่อกันมีอยู่สองสถานคือ ควรกล่าววาจาที่เกี่ยวกับธรรมะอย่างหนึ่ง และเมื่อไม่มีอะไรต้องกล่าวเธอพึงเป็นผู้นิ่งเสีย

ทำอย่างไรจึงจะมีอายุยืน เหตุแห่งการมีอายุยืน

เราทราบกันดีแล้วว่า ทุกคนต้องตาย เพราะความตายเป็นสิ่งที่หลีกเลี่ยงได้ยาก แต่อย่างไรก็ตามในคัมภีร์พุทธศาสน์พระพุทธองค์ได้ตรัสอุบายในการหลีกเลี่ยงจากความตายบางประเภทหรือยืดอายุให้ยืนยาวไว้ดังนี้
